Professional Experience
After 12 years as a nationally Board Registered Respiratory
Therapist with extensive clinical, managerial, and administrative
experience at large hospitals in both Miami and Atlanta, Chris
began his Walt Disney World® career in 1989. After various
operational and management roles in park, retail, and food
and beverage operations, Chris eventually taught a variety
of educational programming at the Disney University.
Chris temporarily left the Disney organization in the early
1990s to travel to Europe and obtain a Master of Arts degree
in non-profit leadership. He returned with a personal commitment
to provide voluntary management and leadership services within
the non-profit industry in Central Florida. Simultaneously,
he returned to the Disney organization, resuming his full-time
work facilitating educational programming.
In 2000, after further obtaining an MBA in management, Chris
transitioned into his present role at Disney
Institute with
the Professional Development Programs facilitation team. Additionally,
he has been an adjunct faculty member, an online course instructor,
and past chairperson for the Marketing and Management Department
at Florida Metropolitan University in Orlando, Florida.
Education
Chris has an earned MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of
Business at Rollins College (Winter Park, Florida), both BA
and MA degrees in non-profit leadership from the University
of Louvain (Louvain, Belgium), a BS degree in biology from
St. Meinrad College (St. Meinrad, Indiana), and both AA and
AS degrees from Miami-Dade College, School of Allied Health
Sciences in respiratory therapy technology (Miami, Florida).
