To accomplish this, a dedicated Disney Institute facilitator will collaborate with you through a unique five-phase process. This will ensure that the custom solution developed for your organization will deliver the sustainable performance to take you to the next level.

Phase I: Discover Your Goals
At Disney Institute, we honor what you already know about your business and add our particular expertise. Therefore, as we begin to customize your program, we will ask you about your culture, needs, expectations and goals. This research will drive the design and development of your customized program and address the following questions:

  • How would you describe your current organizational culture?
  • How have you determined success in your organization?
  • What has been your experience with previous learning philosophies?
  • What learning, insights, and applications do you expect to take away from Disney Institute?

Phase II: Determine Who Attends
Choosing which team members participate with Disney Institute will depend mainly on how you respond to these questions:

  • Do your senior executives support this experience?
  • How fast do you want buy-in from the entire team?
  • Do peer leaders need to be included from the start or just management?

Typically, a representative from each functional department and Human Resources should be part of this initiative. Who comes will also be determined, in part, by the size and culture of your organization.  


Phase III: Build Your Program
Your Disney Institute facilitator will collaborate with you to determine the specific training suggestions and performance improvement initiatives that will make your experience successful. This phase focuses on:

  • What are your organization's largest areas of opportunity?
  • On what discoveries do you want Disney Institute to focus?

Phase IV: Experience Your Program
Your team, representing the predetermined divisions within your organization, will attend your customized Disney Institute program of innovative, hands-on discovery.

  • Observation and Education - Through experiential activities and guided behind-the-scenes field experiences, your team will observe Disney Destination's best  business practices.
  • Implementation - Your team will learn the tools, processes, and systems we use to implement our core competencies of leadership, management, service, loyalty and creativity.
  • Application - Workshop sessions devoted to your chosen subject areas will allow your team to begin applying learned strategies to your own action plans. You will discover how other organizations have adapted these same practices.

Phase V: Debrief
After your Disney Institute experience you will participate in a debriefing where you reflect on your experience and prepare to return home with what you need to implement the appropriate principles and practices you identified during the process.
